Harpers Ferry Raiders

The name comes from the story of John Brown, who was credited with inciting the Civil War after he and his closest confidants were hung for attempting to steal arms in Harpers Ferry, MD.

The stolen armaments were to be distributed to slaves in the South for an attempted uprising.
